To this end, 1nvest is expanding its Global Range fund offering by introducing the 1nvest MSCI EM Asia Index Feeder ETF which gives a portfolio exposure to the performance of large- and mid-cap stocks in 8 select Asian emerging countries. This ETF will list on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange on 18 August 2022 (JSE code ETFEMA) and will be a feeder fund into the iShares MSCI EM Asia UCITS ETF. We believe the most compelling features of 1nvest MSCI EM Asia Index Feeder ETF include:

  • This fund tracks the performance of the MSCI Emerging Markets Asia Index, which has shown strong long-term performance against the MSCI Emerging Markets Index;
  • The index represents approximately 85% of the free float-adjusted market capitalization of large- and mid-cap stocks in China, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand;

The fund invests in the constituents of the Top40 Index and aims to replicate the index by holding the same weightings of these constituents. The Top40 is an equity Index of the 40 largest companies by market capitalisation, listed on the JSE. The fund is rebalanced quarterly and therefore has minimal trading costs.The fund may also hold a small portion in cash instruments and listed derivatives to effect efficient portfolio management.
