1nvest MSCI World Socially Responsible Investment Index Feeder ETF

1nvest ALSI 40 Fund

1nvest is pleased to inform you that it will be launching the 1nvest MSCI World Socially Responsible Investment Index Feeder ETF on 28 July 2022 on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange . The mandate of this ETF is to track the performance of the MSCI World SRI Select Reduced Fossil Fuel Index (the Index) by investing in the iShares MSCI World SRI UCITS ETF. We are confident that the addition of this fund to the 1nvest Global Range of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) further demonstrates our commitment to offering our clients cost-effective access to relevant and differentiated indices that provide global returns.

While there are a few ESG funds in the South African market, we believe that the 1nvest MSCI World Socially Responsible Investment Index Feeder ETF is a compelling proposition as it

  • offers access to the Index which has exposure to large and mid-cap securities across 23 Developed Market (DM) countries, which are consistent with specific values and climate change-based criteria, and those that exhibit a high minimum level of ESG performance.
  • has a responsible investing screening process of the parent Index which ensures that investors can add a fund to their portfolios that excludes companies in industries related to Controversial Weapons, Nuclear Weapons, Tobacco, Civilian Firearms, Conventional Weapons, Alcohol, Gambling, Adult Entertainment, Nuclear Power and Genetically Modified Organisms.
  • has an environmental screening process of the parent Index which ensures that investors can add a fund to their portfolios that excludes companies in industries related to Thermal Coal, Oil Sands, Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Thermal Coal/Oil Sands Reserves
